I was introduced to Kyotaku in 1987 by Agar Kyosui Noiri. Later I became student of Koku Nishimura in Kumamoto, Japan. Koku sensei made 15 compositions before his death in 2002. His son Koryu Nishimura worked with them and taught me how to play them. I have recorded 5 of Koku Nishimura`s compositions and are playing them on a 2.9 rootflute.

Started to play Kyotaku in 1987 and became student of Koku Nishimura in 1996. I have had many students and played many concerts. I also have had the oppurtunity of playing Kyotaku with many different instruments and people from all over the world.
